I haven't forgotten you

Hi all,

So it's been a while since blogging last, and it's definitely not through lack of want. I have been creative yet unable to take pics, then I overcame that little hurdle, and that's when my back went out of action for ... well it's still out. I have  a rather nasty flair up of Sciatica and have been in bed and on pain killers for two weeks, and am only now comfortable enough to sit for longer periods of time.

I promise you I have lots of pics to come, and am even setting up my Instagram account which I shall link you to on my next post when the details are set.

Going for Physio tomorrow, so soon I will be moving forward again.

Thank you every one,
Love always,
Kerrie

Happy Anniversary

 Art Impressions Spinner Winner

Hi everyone, it's been a crazy couple of weeks,
but I'm back with my all time favorite card to date.

This card is not only an anniversary card I made for my in laws,
but it is also the stamp and die set I won from an Art Impressions contest I had entered on Facebook a while back.
It is a 5.5" square card base, with a piece of silver reflective card stock in the background, and then I added a paper doily which I painted black and adhered over the reflective piece as though it were some lace curtains.
The sentiment says 'Love is all around' and my in laws are still more than happy to have it on display.
See you all again next week, Lord willing,
where I will have some more goodies to share with you.
Love always

Black, White ...... and Gold

NOT MY USUAL CARD

Hi all,
today's card was made for one of my Husbands cousins and she just turned thirty.
We don't really see her a lot, and am really not sure what her likes or dislikes are, apart from her being a free spirit.
In saying that, I thought about what type of card she would like, and flowers or cutesy just did not seem to cut the mustard, so I went with an 'In your face' kind of card with a gold glitter card stock for the 30 inlay so it would pop. In hie sight, if I was to make the card again, I would have used a larger number die to make it pop even more.

Oh the joys of card making and learning as you go.
See you all next week, for one of my most favorite cards I have made so far.
Love always

Ice scream you scream ........ for ICE CREAM

Hello Ice cream lovers, and everyone else too.
Today's card reminds me of an old Ice cream shoppe, well that was the plan anyway.

This card was made for a very sweet young lady, who loves going to the Ice cream shop with my mother in law, (her Gran Ruth) when she comes down to visit her.
The only stamp used on this card is the Birthday sentiment, and that was done with Versamark and heat embossing it with white embossing powder by Ranger. The rest is hand drawn and colored using coloring pencils.

I do hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it. If you have any questions or comments, don't forget you can leave them for me and I will be more than happy to get back to you.

Until next time,
byeeeee.
Love always

A special Birthday

Hi friends,
what a nice week it has been, I hope you all have had a lovely week too.

This card was quite fun to make, I knew I wanted balloons and the elephant as well as the die cut 4, so Pinterest inspiration I went.
I love the way the card turned out, I can't remember now (as this card was made in January) but I think the elephant came from one of the Mama Elephant stamp sets.
The card base measures 5.5" sq, the die cut 4 comes from a Kaisercraft numbers die I have, the Happy Birthday is an old stamp set I own and the balloons are hand drawn and colored with Crayola coloring pencils. The enamel dots are a DIY find on Pinterest, which you can see if you click here.
So that's it my crafty friends,
I really hope you have a great week, I am off to make some happy doggy cards from a Mama Elephant stamp set.

Birthday Piano

Hi guys,

I hope everyone is having a great day, it is poring down here in Geelong.
My card today is a take off from a very familiar card going around on Pinterest.

Here I have made the card on a 5.5" square card base, and instead of leaving the keys all flat to the card, I have popped all them up apart from a few which I was told is a chord.
I have heat embossed the greeting on a piece of black card stock and adhered it to the card where the piano lid and the keys meet.
Thanks for stopping by,
and I hope you all have a great weekend.
Love always,
Kerrie

A huge Birthday

Hi yo friends,
It's been a busy week with lots going on, just not much crafty.
This card I made is yet another shaker card. The image is that from Art Impressions and it is Set 4475 - Cake Popper.

Sorry about the way the image is taken, I can assure you it does stand up straight and shakes really well, ha, ha. Anyway the image is colored in with pencil and blended with Gamsol and a blending stump, the sequins are a mix of magenta white and clear, with some white sea beads and some mini red metallic circles to make up the shaker portion.
This was all framed up with red card stock and a faux white stitch line, then added to an A5 card base to complete the card.
Thanks all for stopping by,
see you next time,
Love Kerrie,

A sweet Birthday

Hi all,

Making my way through some cards I have made this year, but not blogged about yet.
For my middle Niece who turned 10 years old.
This card is inspired by Kristina Werner with a card she made some time last year.

It's a shaker card with a light mauve and silver sequin mix some Dazzling Diamond Glitter included as well. The bunny and cake is a copy of something I saw on Pinterest and then a simple fake stitch added around the inner square.

Thanks for stopping by,
 see you next time.
Love always,
Kerrie

Blending In

Well hi all,
I'm back for the third time this month.
I am really trying to make this a weekly post, I hope you have your fingers crossed too.
Today I am posting about some really primitive ink blending cards I made, which was probably about a year ago now when I first laid my hands on the ink blending tools from Tim Holtz.

This first card was made by simply daubing a little ink through a simple stencil I made, then stamped the sentiment with the Kaisercraft stamp set Cherry Blossom. This stamp set is no longer available though, so sorry.

This next card I used the same sentiment, how ever I laid a mask over the it first and blended out the Mustard Seed ink, creating a glow of somewhat. I backed it with some black card stock to emphasize the sentiment and then angled that panel on to the card base.

For this third card, I pretty much done the opposite of the card above, added a different sentiment from the same Stamp set and added the panel to a green card base.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

For this last card from this set, I made a stencil from some acetate of a line of clouds, then using Salty Ocean ink from Tim Holtz, I began blending the ink up from the stencil, then moved the stencil over a bit or turned it the other way to make different looking cloud patterns. Once I finished the clouds I blended the same ink from the top of the card stock down to add a bit of something from the top. Then I added the sentiment, at this point I needed something extra, welcome sunshine.
Then all this was adhered to a white card base and that was finished

Thanks everyone for joining me again,
talk again next week.
Byeeee
Love always

Digi, Digi, Digi

Hi all,
Today's Blog is all Stamping Bella.
Now once again I have used digital stamps found on Pinterest without realizing they are in fact not free, so immediately deleted them from my digital stamp collection.
These three cards however were printed and colored well before having this knowledge be made known to me.

Our first beautiful Bella is FAITH the FAIRY which I colored with pencil, and added a light blue hue around her to make her pop.

For my second Bella is CLAUDIA has a CANDY with the sentiment that goes along with her, I think she is soooo cute, but I do love all the Bellas.

Lastly I have one of my all time favorites, Clarissa and Camille share a CAFE with their coordinating sentiment. I made them flower power Bellas with the color pallet I chose, they would be gorgeous in any color combo though.

Okay peoples, this is the last of the FREE?? Digital stamps I will blog, so I will be back soon with some real stamp colored cards very soon.
Hope you all have a great day,
Love always

Colored pencils and digi stamps

I love Pinterest

So maybe a good two years ago, I was perusing through Pinterest when the magical world of free digital stamps came to my attention, (yes I know I am so slow to catch up) please don't hate on me.
Back then we had this great printer and I went to town pinning and printing until the printer finally gave up working. I thought I had better start coloring some images.

Now I have to admit, and I am so sorry to the original designers, I did not write down the details of where the images originally came from so there for only ever printed the images off once and then deleted them from my Pinterest boards.
This image has been colored using some cheap coloring pencils but a mid range knowledge of blending and shading techniques. It was then cut down to fit on a standard A5 card base. No sentiment was ever added.

This baby animal party is not my usual interest, but they are to stinkin' cute to pass up, backed on to a red card base, it could be used for either a boy or girl birthday card.

This card made me laugh when I finished coloring it, why you may ask, because on the inside I wanted to put 'wishing you well'.
OK folks, that's my cards for the day.
See you all next time

Christmas 2016

When will I get it on time?

So I know, I know it's way past Christmas, dang it's way past everything being almost mid year, but here they are.

Here's the first of the Christmas cards, this one and the next two are sized A5, however the others are     14 cm x 14 cm  (5.5" x 5.5"). This cards sentiment is from Clearly Besotted however the rest of the card is just made with patterned paper with a bit of distress ink on the edges.

This next card is made from some pattern paper by Kaiserkraft and covered with Wink of Stella, then neatly tucked behind some acetate for a somewhat shiny finish. Using a Uni-ball White Signo Pen, I made some dash lines around the circles turning them in to baubles, then heat embossed the sentiment with Super fine white embossing powder from Ranger.

This card was made with a bird cut out, a leaf cut out, (all drawn then cut by hand) and a small clear gem for the birds eye. Then I hand drew the sentiment, drew in a little border, and that was it.

These two cards were made for the parents on each side of the family, I had been given some metallic gold and silver card stock some time ago, and have been hoarding it, so it came in handy when needing just a little different in the layout. Cut out a circle with my largest circle die from MFT, the music paper behind was added to the shaker card front, which I added some white sea beads and a bit of shimmer powder for a frosty effect, not that where I live in Australia we ever see snow outside, but hey, who doesn't like a bit of (well contained) glitter. The rest is a sentiment I stamped from a stamp I have in my stash and then backed with some more metallic card stock.

A Christmas wreath by using a pile of cut out circles in festive colors, oh so easy, then topped with a cute little ribbon and the sentiment was heat embossed with gold embossing powder on some velum.

Last of all, is this cute little Santa, all hand drawn then cut out, placed on some patterned paper, then given some little googly eyes for a pop of fun.

Well that only took maybe 45 mins to write this Blog, what the heck have I been waiting for.
See you all again soon.
